I have been on the committee since 2019. I started on the committee when I was shoulder tapped by other committee members. I love the passion of our committee members. Their dedication to the club and its athletes is truly inspiring. My favourite thing about MIGS is watching athletes achieve personal goals and seeing the determination they show throughout the process. It is incredibly rewarding to witness their growth. A fun fact about me, I am a country girl at heart, with 2 dogs, 1 cat, 3 horses, 4 pet sheep and 2 pet goats.

I love the friends I have made. My favourite thing about MIGS, I love the people that are part of the club, everyone is so nice. I love that it is a safe space for my kids, it is like a 2nd home. A fun fact about me, I work full time, I am a mother of twin daughters. I love animals and enjoy walking my two gorgeous doggies.

I have been on the committee since November 2022. A member that was leaving the committee approached me to see if I would like to be apart of it. I thought how great to be able to give back to the club that has been a big part of my family. I really enjoy giving back to the gymnastic community, and a big part of this amazing club that supports local families by offering recreational and competitive gymnastics classes for their children and providing youth with a coaching development program. My favourite thing about MIGS, is the people. A fun fact about me, I am from Chile, and this is my 20th year in NZ. I like the art of embroidery, and I have never been able to cartwheel. My daughter didn’t take after me with her Gymnastics!

I started on the committee in November 2023, when I applied for the Safeguarding Lead for the Gym. I attended one committee meeting and decided to stay on. I have enjoyed been involved in the running of the Gym. I find it really rewarding to be part of a committee and knowing that I am making a positive difference for the children and young adults in our community. My favourite thing about MIGS is seeing the children progress in developing their skills in gymnastics. I admire our competitive athletes, seeing them train so hard and the discipline they show in their chosen sport. I have also enjoyed meeting new people and making some lovely new friendships. A fun fact about me, I have lived in Rotorua since 2016, I work part-time for a local building company. I enjoy walking in the forest with friends and having a good natter.
